Are you looking forward to treating many patients, developing yourself professionally and enjoying a good work-life balance? And working regular hours while earning a good salary? Then a career as a dentist in the Netherlands is what you're looking for!
Due to a big shortage of dentists in the Netherlands, we are looking for adventurous EU dentists who'd like to work in the Netherlands for at least 3 years, and start a new life here.
With the help of our certified language program, we will help you reach the required level of Dutch in 20 weeks, after which you'll start working in a good Dutch dental clinic.
In addition, we will help you with all other necessary steps necessary to make a successful start in the Netherlands. We'll be there with you every step of the way, and make sure that you're all prepared for your new career in the Netherlands.
What does my job as a dentist in the Netherlands look like?
After you completed your language training with us, the moment has arrived for you to get to know your new Dutch patients! You will work as a general dentist and will be able to perform all of the treatments that fall under the umbrella of general dentistry. You work fixed hours with a maximum of 8 hours per day, which leaves you with enough free time to enjoy your private life. Seeing as, on average, Dutch patients visit the dentist twice a year, you can expect to see many patients each day (15-30) and perform many treatments. In addition to that, you'll have the possibility to develop yourself professionally and eventually specialize in a specific area of dentistry.
What we ask of you:
Before you start working in a Dutch dental clinic, we expect first and foremost that you are available for 20 weeks in order to completely dedicate yourself to learning the Dutch language. To do this, an affinity with learning languages and a good command of English are required.
As a dentist, it's important that you are confident and that you have command over basic treatments such as check-ups, fillings, extractions and root canal treatments. In addition, you should be willing to (eventually) learn more advanced treatments, such as crowns and bridges, prosthodontics and implantology.
Other requirements:
You have an EU nationality and a degree in dentistry acquired at an EU university.
You are prepared to work in the Netherlands for at least 3 years.
You're equipped with a good amount of positivity and persistence.
What we offer you:
In addition to our tailor-made 20-week program, we offer you a steady 3-year contract with personal guidance and good job conditions:
A starting salary between €30,000 and €50,000 net per year, depending on your experience. A maximum yearly salary of €90,000 net, depending on your progression during these years.
A good work-life balance
