ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

In the hospital, they work with diagnostic radiology in purpose-built premises with modern equipment. They conduct conventional radiology examinations such as skeleton and lungs, cross-sectional diagnostics with two computer tomography and two magnetic cameras, fluoroscopy/intervention and ultrasound examinations are carried out. At the department, some treatment measures are also carried out, such as the narrowing of blood vessels and relief of the kidneys.

The hospital is an emergency hospital, so the activities in the radiology department are combined of both emergency and scheduled activities. They have a 24/7 operation, both day, evening/night work and standby during the night.

Right now they are in an exciting phase of upgrading the department, with further modernization and preparing for new, fresh premises. The catchment area is approximately 50.000 inhabitants.  The clinic has 16 radiographers, 13 assistant nurses, 6 residents, 4 specialists, 11 senior consultants and 4 administrators. 

Main Responsibilities

- No previous experience is required since the radiographer will receive a well-developed introduction program during 8-12 months, depending on previous experience.

- During these months you get to learn about all the equipment and everything that is expected of a radiographer, routines, methods and way of working at the radiology clinic in the hospital.
