Responsibilities
Backend Development: You will design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs optimized for high-load media processing, AI integration, and video delivery.
System Architecture: Participate in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for media and AI workloads.
Media and AI Processing: Your role will involve developing and optimizing systems for large-scale media handling, real-time video processing, and AI-powered data analysis.
Code Quality: You will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards.
Testing: Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Performance Optimization: You will identify and resolve bottlenecks in media and AI pipelines, enhancing system performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend services.
Troubleshooting: You will debug and resolve issues in production environments handling high volumes of media and video traffic.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with trends in media processing, AI, and video delivery, and share knowledge within the team.
Requirements
Hands-On Development: Strong expertise in Java or Rust, especially in performance-critical backend systems.
Senior-Level Experience: 5+ years of experience, with proven leadership in backend development projects and mentoring.
High-Load Media Processing: Experience with systems for video encoding, decoding, and streaming in high-volume environments.
API Development: Expertise in RESTful API and microservices development for media and AI applications.
Database Management: Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases in high-load contexts.
Multithreading and Concurrency: Strong understanding of concurrency models in Rust for high-performance systems.
Security Best Practices: Knowledge of backend security, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or similar cloud services.
Event-Driven Architecture: Experience with messaging systems like Kafka in event-driven environments.
Video Delivery: Familiarity with video streaming technologies (HLS, DASH, WebRTC).
AI Processing: Experience integrating AI models and pipelines into backend systems.
