About the Client:
Our client, a rapidly expanding AI-driven startup, is looking for a Backend Developer to join their growing team. They specialize in building cutting-edge AI systems and are scaling their platform to provide impactful AI-powered recommendations to their users.
Your Role:
As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for architecting and building the powerful systems that fuel the AI recommendations. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs, data pipelines, and databases that deliver reliable insights to customers, all while collaborating closely with product, data, and frontend teams. You will own the backend development of the system end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable and reliable backend systems that support AI-driven recommendations.
Develop and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and databases.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.
Optimize the performance of backend services to handle growing data volumes and user traffic.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to established coding standards and practices.
Take full ownership of projects, from development to deployment and maintenance.
Tech Stack:
Languages: TypeScript
Backend: GCP, Cloud Functions, PostgreSQL, Firestore, Cloud Tasks
AI Models: OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Llama, etc.
Requirements:
Proficiency in TypeScript and backend development.
Strong experience building and maintaining APIs and scalable systems.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently, with a focus on results.
Experience implementing end-to-end changes in backend systems.
Ability to work with tools like Cursor to enhance productivity while keeping code concise, clear, and maintainable.
Ability to adapt to the existing project code style.

Experience in starting a company or working at an early-stage startup.
