Responsibilities:
• Defining the art vision for the game in collaboration with the client
• Leading and building an art team to execute the vision
• Creating and supporting a clear process for art preparation and pipeline
• Providing ongoing feedback and communication with the client
• Working closely with Tech Artists to optimise performance and improve processes
• Mentoring and growing the skills of individual artists on the team
• Utilising modern AI-based tools such as Midjourney and Stable Diffusion to enhance the game's art
Requirements:
• Strong understanding and experience in 2D art creation and production, including character, environment, and UI/UX design.
• Experience in creating and maintaining an art style guide and ensuring consistency across all assets.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant work experience and artistic skill.
• Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Proficient in Photoshop and 3D modelling
• A deep understanding of the art creation and optimisation pipeline
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of artists.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with cross-functional teams such as game design, programming, and production.
• Experience with mobile game development and optimisation for mobile devices is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI based tools like Midjourney, stable Diffusion and other is a plus.
