These key components enable our customers to commercialize reliable smart textiles in a wide range of applications, from bio-signal monitoring to electrical stimulation for sports, workwear, and medical applications.
About this position
We are in search of an exceptionally talented and visionary leader to shape our marketing strategy. This role will be based in our new beautiful office in the Berlin city center.
As Head of Marketing, your mission will be to build a coherent brand for our new multi-disciplinary product. Ideally, you have a track record of building and launching brands from the scratch in a fast-growing scale-up environment in the Consumer, Healthcare or Wearables Industry. You will educate the B2B and B2C market on the future perspectives and promises of health monitoring textiles for wellbeing. Your role will be crucial as you will be the interface between the CEO, the business developers, the product managers and you will directly lead a team of marketing experts to grow the brand and drive sales. In your role, you will set up a sharp marketing strategy, design and deliver marketing campaigns, collect customer input, build a community and align with ambassadors, explain the science behind the product and highlight the potential benefits of our products for society.
Your tasks
- Shape and communicate our inspiring purpose and mission.
- Translate purpose into visionary go-to-market strategies and “hands-on” marketing plans.
- Align and co-create with the Head of Sales to achieve our ambitious revenue growth plans.
- Set up integrated B2B and B2C marketing plans (through digital marketing tactics)
- Identify and refine product-market fit for early-adopter communities and grow the customer base to the mainstream market (“crossing the chasm”).
- Own product marketing, go-to-market strategy, product positioning and messaging.
- Lead creative design to inspire the target audience to “take action” and become part of our community.
- Become part of our leadership team and attend regular investor meetings.
- Lead a team of 3-4 marketing experts covering competencies of social media content, community building and performance marketing.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a similar field and 5-7 years of industry experience in strategic and operational marketing, ideally in a scale-up environment.
- Successful track record of launching products with multiple user cases and building brands from scratch (from early adopters to mass market). You excel at brand strategy!
- Prior experience with product-market fit of disruptive technologies.
- Experience with executing marketing plans in B2B and B2C markets (B2C preferable).
- Hands-on experience with conducting market studies, meeting potential customers, organizing or attending podcasts and giving public interviews.
- You are skilled at product marketing and have ideally some technical background.
- You have achieved great previous success through digital and performance marketing strategies.
- Outstanding and confident communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- You have prior experience with startups with a focus on consumer goods or health tech products.
- You are visionary, yet have a pragmatic hands-on approach and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with fast-changing priorities.
- You are fluent in business English, any other language is a plus.
- You are a German citizen or EU/EFTA national, not requiring a work permit sponsorship.
It would be awesome if you also had:
- great copywriting skills or community-building experience or previously worked as a Creative Director (the more the better).
- personal interest and a good basic understanding of human physiology and health.
- some scientific and technical understanding of sports trackers.
